The Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman flick that sent my childhood into a New England Witchy SPIRAL (not complaining) was a book series and I didn’t even know it! So, of course, when I saw Practical Magic available for grabs I bought it. Loved it. Found out about the rest, and now I am starting all over, reading them in order and out loud to my children. I am also using them to write my own magical grimoire because despite me being thirty and the novels being fiction, the magical guidance it provides is real and nourishing.
A Bit About
The Practical Magic Series follows the Owens Family, a family of witches that started with the whole hearted Maria Owens back in the 1600’s. After Maria gets her heart broken (by a Mass-hole who goes on to start the infamous Witch Trials in Massachusetts) she places a curse on her bloodline, any man who fell in love with an Owen’s woman was doomed.

Some Thoughts
The more and more I read this series the more and more I love it. If you are a fan of Salem, Witches, Magic, and Love then I couldn’t think of a more perfect recommendation. While some parts aren’t kid friendly, for the most part it is and my kids love listening out loud. This series to me, is one I will finish and start over again because I simply cannot get enough.
You can find the magic below with my affiliation link! I recommend you start with Maria Owens and Magic Lessons.
